Shopping mall CENTRAL opens up in Indore

Being the next in queue, a new shopping mall called Central opens in Indore city yesterday. This morning a bunch of pages publicizing the mall was delivered along with newspaper. On paper it really looks attractive. This is the third big mall in Indore which will be having a multiplex (Inox), previous two are Treasure Island and Mangal City. At, one part of the same State, Jabalpur, where in the past five years almost 8 movie theatres have been shut down and only 3 are left.

I was listening to the local radio where the RJ said “Yesterday, I went to the mall and bought a pair of sunglasses”. Here, I came to know an interesting truth of this so called mall culture that now a man (even a common man) has started buying things because of the need to get aligned with the changing fashion and not just requirement. Is this is an advantage or disadvantage? I don’t know the answer but I believe this moves economy which everyone needs in these hard times.
